Fundraising in the Arts Workshops

For Small Organizations and Independent Artists

Demystifying the Fundraising Process

Saturday, February 29, 2020; 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
The Times Center – 242 West 41st Street, Manhattan

Benvenuti Arts is teaming up once again with the Indie Theater Fund to bring you another workshop: Demystifying the Fundraising Process. These seminars are designed to help independent artists and small arts organizations raise funds for the amazing work you’re doing by:

  1. Decoding the grant writing process,
  2. Helping you find and cultivate new donors, and
  3. Guiding you in creating a cohesive, achievable fundraising plan for your entire year.

This session is designed specifically for organizations with a budget of $250,000 or less and a small staff. In addition to the goals listed above, this specific workshop will help you create a plan to achieve both your short- and long-term goals without taxing your jam-packed schedule.

You will leave the workshop with a copy of Benvenuti Arts’ A Simple Guide to Individual Fundraising in the Arts, A Simple Guide to Institutional Fundraising in the Arts, and the beginnings of a practical fundraising plan. In addition, each participating organization and independent artist will receive one-on-one time with Founder Sarah Benvenuti!

Sarah knows how to breakdown the ins and outs of the grant systems. She gives you endless amounts of resources and tools to ensure you know which grants you are eligible for and how to make a good application! I highly recommend her workshops and working with her!

The Benvenuti Arts Fundraising Workshop was incredibly helpful. My producing partner and I run a fledgling arts organization. Sarah walked us through the basics of multiple approaches to fundraising, all with context from her experience in the field. This helped us understand not just how to fund raise, but the trends and contexts to help us refine our approach. Sarah’s personalized support, including a personal consultation, helped us refocus our strategy towards fundraising, and gave us clear first steps, as well as long-term goals and plans. I cannot recommend her workshop enough.
