SERVICES FAQ

Where is Benvenuti Arts based?
While our company is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we are a fully remote consulting company with staff located across North America and in Europe.

Do you only work with groups in locations that your staff is based in?
No. Since we’re a fully remote team, we work with groups all over the US.

How does BA work with groups?
We work with organizations in a variety of ways, depending on their needs and capacity:

  • Retainer Clients: We partner with us on a monthly retainer basis for ongoing support around fundraising and administrative services.
  • Special Projects: We do ad-hoc projects, such as grant calendar creation, Google Drive reorganization, deeper strategic partnerships, feasibility studies, fundraising planning, or strategic planning, and more.
  • Workshops and Group Programs: Our BA Sessions & Seminars and print resources offer hands-on workshops where you can learn and build key materials, such as a campaign plan, boilerplate document and others, alongside our team.

However you choose to work with us, we focus on meeting you where you are, tailoring our work to fit your goals and capacity. We’d be happy to walk you through what this could look like for your group during a FREE 30-min Interest Call.

What is BA’s consulting approach?
At Benvenuti Arts, we partner with small and midsize arts organizations to strengthen their work holistically, grounding our approach in collaboration, empathy, and respect. While many clients are interested in growth, others are simply trying to work more efficiently and effectively. We can help with both. We believe sustainable change comes from developing processes that suit the unique structure and culture of each organization with practical and creative solutions. We seek to build capacity with our partners across fundraising, operations, communications, and leadership, empowering the “small and mighty” to thrive.

We provide both strategic consulting (advising on plans, decisions, outreach, etc) and capacity building services (plans implementation, grant writing, financial advising, coordinating events and campaigns, training Board, etc). We understand that it can be difficult to implement new strategies with limited internal staff capacity, that’s why we help create the plan, and execute it together with you.

Read our Core Values here and see what our clients say in our Testimonials here. and on our IG profile.

Do you only work with 501c3 organizations?
While the majority of our clients are 501(c)3 nonprofits, we also work with a wide range of groups and individuals in the arts and culture field, including fiscally-sponsored projects, collectives, service providers, and occasionally individual artists. No matter the structure, the way we work with all clients is individualized in the ways we describe above, and on our Consulting page.

BA SESSIONS FAQ

Can I register for more than one Session?

Yes! We encourage participants to consider registering to more than one Session only if that is sustainable for them and their workload.

Is there an order you recommend to attend BA Sessions?

We particularly suggest groups take Boilerplate Writing and Operations Planning Sessions first, as they complement one another. The Boilerplate Writing Session prepares participants to dig in deeper into the specifics of their work while Operations Planning provides long-term strategy and goal-setting. With those two Sessions completed, Fundraising Planning Sessions can really take off.

Can I bring more than one person from my organization to the Sessions?

Yes – we strongly recommend two people (staff or board members) per organization to bring fresh ideas together to maximize the outcomes of your Session.

Do I need a Gmail account to participate in these Sessions?

No – anyone with any email account can use the Google Suite tools. We use Google Workspace as we have determined that it is one of the more affordable, user friendly set of systems to use for our arts management work. This contributes to our ability to offer high-quality services at low costs for small and mighty individual artists, artist collectives, and arts organizations.

What payment methods do you provide?

We accept payments via the Registration Form, with Paypal or Debit and Credit Cards.

Will I have access to the documents we worked on during the Sessions after the ending meeting?

Absolutely! At the end of every meeting part of the Sessions, you will receive a meeting transcript and video recordings, as well as downloadable documents that you will work on with our guidance. You can read more about what documents will be created in your Session on our website and in your registration form. You can read more about what documents will be created in your Session on our website and in your registration form.
